WhatsApp Channels May Introduce Feature to Transfer Ownership

WhatsApp Channels Transfer Ownership

WhatsApp Channels May Introduce Feature to Transfer Ownership. Experts working on the world's largest instant messaging application, WhatsApp, are developing a feature that would allow any channel owner to transfer their channel to another person.

Yes, it has been reported that WhatsApp experts are working on such a feature, allowing any channel owner to transfer their channel to another individual.

According to updates on WhatsApp's website, experts are currently working on the mentioned feature, and its development is in the initial stages.

Under this feature, any channel owner can transfer all the rights of their channel to another person, but they will still remain the original admin of the channel.

The feature will work similarly to how a group admin can make other individuals admins, and the channel owner will have the option to transfer ownership rights to someone else.

Under the feature, the original admin will have the option to remain an admin even after the transfer of the channel, and they can make all the changes in the channel that the original admin can.

Similarly, the channel founder, who transfers the channel to another person, will also have the option to permanently deprive themselves of admin rights if they wish.

Currently, WhatsApp experts are working on this, and the testing of this feature may begin in the coming months, after which it will be officially introduced. Prior to this feature, multiple new features were introduced on WhatsApp channels just last week, allowing more than one admin to be appointed for a channel.

Additionally, features such as polls and voice note sharing were also introduced in WhatsApp channels.

WhatsApp Channels were introduced in September 2023 in dozens of countries worldwide, and the channel features quickly gained popularity.
