Suspicious Apps Removed from Play Store: What You Need to Know

13 Apps Removed Play Store

Suspicious Apps Removed from the Play Store 2024: What You Need to Know. Technology giant Google has removed 13 applications from the Play Store after experts from security company McAfee flagged a harmful bug.

According to experts, this virus in applications is so dangerous that after the app is installed on the device, cyber attackers can gain access to many things while taking control of the user's device. After gaining access, hackers can add spyware or money-stealing banking trojans to the device without the user's knowledge.

It also gives bug hackers the ability to hide apps on the screen, which means the user can't see phone-slowing adware being installed.

McAfee confirmed the detection of this malicious virus in a total of 25 applications, 13 of which are available on Google's Play Store, and more than 3 lakh people have downloaded and installed these apps.

According to McAfee, most of the downloads were made in the US, UK, Brazil, Spain, and Germany.
