The video communication service Google Meet is set to introduce various customization features for its web and mobile users.
Last week, technology company Google announced that it would introduce three new features for the service, allowing Google Meet users to present themselves according to their preferences.
The first feature will allow users to combine various video effects. By using this feature, the background can be blended with filter effects to create a more dynamic presentation.
In this feature, a new layer icon on the selfie view tile will be used to show which effects are being used. This icon can also be used to remove a single effect or all effects at once.
The feature to combine video effects will come with a new user interface that makes it easier for users to discover and use new effects.
The second feature will introduce studio lighting, but this feature will only be available to web users and will include support for Google Workspace Enterprise users. This feature allows adjustments for studio standard lighting and settings for brightness and color.
The third and final feature, 'Studio Sound,' is currently available on the web version and will be introduced in the mobile version in the coming weeks. This feature uses artificial intelligence to enhance audio quality automatically, improving the sound of participants with poor audio quality due to background noise.
Google Meet's iOS and Android users can expect some of these features in the next two weeks, while web users will have access to all features by the end of this month.
