The Deepest Well Dug By Man, Do You Know?

Deepest Well Dug

The Deepest Well Dug By Man, Do You Know? While China has the honor of having the deepest naturally occurring deep well in the world, there is also a man-made well dug in China that is more than 11100 meters deep. The well being dug is located in the Takalman Desert in northwest China's Xinjiang Province. The drilling of this well started during the first week of June this year.

Many people believe that this well is probably the world's deepest man-made well, but it is not, because the world's deepest well, which was completed in 1989, is Russia's Kola, which is 12,262 meters deep.  The work of digging this well was started in 1969, and after twenty years of continuous digging, when it reached this depth, then its work was stopped. Structures such as extreme temperatures and high pressures can present significant technical challenges.

As far as the drilling of wells in China's Xinjiang province is concerned, it has been started under the auspices of the state-owned petrochemical corporation "Sinopec". whose goals are to work on the discovery of oil and gas. Although Sinopec has announced that it intends to take the pit deeper than the proposed depth, only time will tell if China, Russia's Kola depth target will be met. Will it pass or not?
