Social sharing application Instagram has introduced a feature to make original content more viral by changing its algorithm.
Until now, the content of account holders with the most followers on Instagram was more widely spread.
In this regard, even if an account holder with fewer followers shared the content first, Instagram's algorithm would not spread it further.
But now with the new changes, the account that shares the content will be the first to go viral.
In a blog post from Instagram, it was stated that the platform has started promoting original content by changing its algorithm.
The blog post explained that after the new changes, the algorithm will spread the account's content with the most followers, rather than the account holder, where the content was shared first.
Also, if any original content is shared by other users, Instagram will recommend the original account.
Similarly, the option will be kept that the account sharing the content of another, will be obliged to provide the link of the original account.
According to Instagram, after the algorithm changes, even accounts with fewer followers will have more original content to go viral so that everyone gets equal opportunities on the platform.
