Simplified Process Introduced for Uploading Medical Insurance Policies

United Arab Emirates (UAE) is introducing a digital platform for uploading and renewing medical insurance policies to facilitate the issuance and renewal of residence permits for non-citizens residing in the country. The digital convenience is set to commence on February 19, 2024.


According to a statement issued by Colonel Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General for Residence and Citizenship Affairs, as reported by Emarat Al Youm, the federal authority is launching this initiative to facilitate non-citizens residing in the UAE.


The statement further elaborates that the documentation for medical insurance policies will be uploaded to the platform during residence issuance and renewal, aiming to provide immediate services to individuals and save them the hassle of visiting offices.


Colonel Al Khaili emphasized that through the new program, non-citizens and their families residing in the UAE will not only receive better health services but also ensure the protection of their rights in this regard.


Regarding the uploading of medical policies on the digital platform, the Director of the Citizenship and Residence Department mentioned that the process of uploading data issued by insurance companies to the platform has been made extremely easy, thus providing significant convenience and time-saving for individuals.
