Study Finds Depression Can Be Controlled with Walking

Depression Controlled Walking

Research suggests depression can be managed with a simple forty-step walk.

A study reveals that mild exercises such as yoga, walking, and jogging can alleviate depression.

However, experts suggest that more intense physical activities such as dancing prove to be more effective in treating depression.

Dr. Michael Neutel, the author of the study conducted at the University of Queensland in Australia, stated that walking and jogging are beneficial for both men and women.

For women, strength training (weight lifting) is highly effective, whereas yoga and exercises focusing on controlling breathing and physical movements are best for men.

It is important to note that researchers examined two hundred studies involving fifteen thousand participants to determine the most effective way to improve mental health through exercise.
