Revolutionizing Texting: Google Messages Rumored to Add Message Editing

Google is soon to provide Android phone users with the convenience of editing their messages, as announced by the tech giant.

Google Messages (the default messaging app for Android) is expected to roll out an update allowing users to edit their messages, details of which have surfaced online.

Technology company Apple introduced the ability to edit messages in its rival operating system, iOS 16. However, Google had not yet implemented this feature into Messages.

Nevertheless, evidence regarding testing of the editing feature related to messages has been presented in the beta test version of Google Messages, as reported by Android Police.

To utilize this feature of Google Messages, users need to press and hold the message in the chat box for some time, after which a pencil icon appears.

After pressing the pencil icon, a box labeled 'Editing Message' appears, allowing users to edit the message. Pressing the send button after editing applies the changes.
