Google initiates testing of AI tools in Maps
Google has begun testing the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in Maps.
Google stated in its blog post that initially, the testing of AI tools is being conducted only in the United States, with limited tour guides provided to the mentioned tools.
Significant Changes in Google Maps Under AI Features
Under these AI features, significant changes have been made to Google Maps, and now when a user tries to find information about a specific location or topic in any city on the map, the map will provide the desired information.
Meaning, that if someone unfamiliar visits Karachi and searches for information about historical buildings on the map, the AI tools will show the user the location, information, and images of all the historical buildings in the city.
Similarly, if anyone searches for information about parks, shopping malls, or similar places, Google Maps will provide all relevant information including images and reviews of places.
Enhanced Information Retrieval with AI Features
Not only that, but under this feature, if a user wants to inquire about additional information regarding any building, location, or place, they will also be provided with further information in a question-and-answer format.
With this feature, users can obtain information about buildings, places, and locations of any city within minutes while sitting comfortably.
Global Expansion After Successful Testing in the US
After successful testing of this feature in the US, it will be introduced in other countries as well, and potentially by the end of the current year, it will be made available to the general public worldwide.
