A Brief Study Indicates the Potential Benefits of Cinnamon in Blood Sugar Management
A concise yet unique study reveals that incorporating cinnamon into daily consumption in minimal quantities can potentially aid in controlling blood sugar levels.
Numerous past studies have already demonstrated the beneficial effects of daily cinnamon consumption in reducing sugar, high blood pressure, and cholesterol levels.
New Research Highlights the Impact of Cinnamon Consumption on Blood Sugar Levels
Now, in a new study, researchers have investigated the effects of cinnamon use on limited volunteers to observe its impact on blood sugar.
According to a study published in the Clinical Nutrition Journal, experts obtained the services of 18 volunteers to examine the effects of cinnamon on blood sugar levels, dividing them into two groups.
Participants in both groups were instructed to consume meals without cinnamon, while one group was given capsules containing cinnamon with meals, and the other group received capsules of artificial medications. After four weeks, all participants' blood sugar levels were tested.
After four weeks, experts examined the blood sugar levels of all participants and found that individuals who consumed cinnamon showed significantly lower sugar levels.
According to experts, cinnamon consumption may benefit individuals with prediabetes and obesity, leading to an immediate reduction in blood sugar levels.
Experts suggest that cinnamon contains antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, anti-diabetic effects, antimicrobial properties, and even elements that inhibit the formation of cancer cells, all of which are beneficial for human health.
