TikTok is reportedly testing the feature to allow users to upload videos of up to half an hour in duration. The short video-sharing application TikTok is experimenting with a surprising feature that allows users to upload videos lasting up to half an hour.
TikTok, primarily a short video-sharing application, gained popularity for its format. However, considering that other platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube also allow the uploading of longer videos, TikTok introduced the feature to upload relatively long videos last year.
The short video-sharing application had already granted permission to upload 15-minute videos in 2023, increasing the duration from the previous limit of 10 minutes and even earlier, when the platform started with a limit of 5 minutes for video uploads.
Now, news has emerged that TikTok is testing the feature of sharing videos with a duration of 30 minutes.
According to a technology website, the platform has given limited content creators access to upload videos lasting up to half an hour.
The report suggests that after the successful testing of this feature, there is a possibility that TikTok will allow the uploading of videos lasting up to 30 minutes, and the feature might be officially introduced sometime in the middle of the current year.
