X (Twitter) has announced the introduction of multiple AI features on its platform. The micro-blogging platform Twitter has confirmed that soon, it will introduce several AI-driven features on its website, leveraging artificial intelligence to make content discovery easier on the platform.
According to a blog post by Twitter, in the coming year, Twitter (referred to as "X") will roll out numerous new features, turning it into a super app. Among these features, a payment feature will also be introduced on the platform, allowing users to send money to each other and make in-app transactions.
The highlighted feature is expected to be the most prominent, enabling users worldwide to transfer money to each other. However, it is too early to make any definitive statements on this matter.
Experts believe that the payment feature will initially be introduced in limited countries, and users from numerous countries may not have access to international payment facilities. However, it is premature to say anything conclusively about this aspect.
Additionally, features aimed at improving content accessibility will be introduced on Twitter. New options for viewing content will be presented, allowing users to explore content beyond their preferred topics.
According to Twitter, the platform is rapidly evolving into a popular video-sharing platform, with 8 out of 10 users preferring to watch videos. Furthermore, insights about audio and video calling features reveal that users spend at least 10 minutes on a call through the platform.
Twitter also disclosed that efforts are underway to reward and uplift content creators on the platform. Currently, the platform is compensating creators worldwide, with 80,000 content creators receiving monthly payments in the form of millions of dollars.
