Start of re-showing news headlines on X. The re-display of news headlines on micro-blogging platform X (Twitter) has been started. X owner Elon Musk hinted in November last year that headlines would start showing up again with the news. Earlier in October 2023, the feature to hide headlines when sharing links to news or other articles was introduced.
After the change, since October, desktop users on Twitter have lost sight of headlines with links to any news or articles, but mobile users have continued to see the headlines.
Now, along with each news story or article, its headline has been started, but it has changed compared to the past. In the past, the headline of the news or article was displayed below the image, but now the headline appears in the highlighted line within the image.
The URL address of the website is now visible below the news or article image, while the headline is displayed in highlighted lines above the image. It is not clear why the headlines of news and articles started to be hidden, but users expressed outrage over this, after which the headlines have now been shown again.
