A Pill To Full Stomach

Scientists have developed a pill to give you the feeling of a full stomach. Researchers have developed a high-tech pill that vibrates in the stomach to create a feeling of fullness.

According to media reports, a team of scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has developed a smart pill that vibrates on contact with stomach fluids and activates receptors in the stomach to induce satiety. A feeling arises as if a person has just eaten his fill.

The first introduction to a high-tech pill called a Vibrating Ingestible Bioelectronic Stimulator (Vibes) came in a study published in the 'Science Journal'. It is also being called the future of weight-loss drugs by the media.

Although it has yet to be tested on humans, experiments on pigs have yielded promising results. About 30 minutes after the vibes were applied to the pigs' stomachs, the pigs ate an average of 40 percent less food in the half-hour than those without the vibes.
