4 New Generations of Octopuses Discovered in Recent Study

New Generations of Octopuses

Recently, American scientists have discovered 4 new generations of octopuses in the waters off the coast of Costa Rica. According to media reports, a team of American scientists conducted a tour of the marine coast of Costa Rica, where they discovered 4 new generations of octopuses residing in the deep sea.

Researchers have confirmed that these deep-sea octopuses belong to an entirely new species whose name has not been determined yet. However, they are currently being referred to as "Dorado Octopus."

Jam Berry, an expert in marine environments at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, stated that finding four new generations of octopuses in just two expeditions in the sea is a significant achievement. It signifies the extent of biological diversity found in the deep sea and suggests that there are many more undiscovered species awaiting exploration.

The researchers discovered the octopuses during their exploration of the underwater caves between marine cliffs. Experts suggest that the presence of these octopuses in the cave locations indicates that these creatures use the warm temperature in the cave environments to enhance their incubation process. However, residing in the same apparent location for an extended period may also pose a threat to predators.
