Car Battery 1000 Km

The car battery was tested for more than 1000 km on a single charge. A Chinese electric car maker has tested a battery that can power a vehicle for more than 1,000 kilometers on a single charge.

William Li, chief executive of Shanghai-based company Nio, tested the battery by driving the company's electric vehicle ET7 vehicle for 1044 kilometers during a 14-hour live stream. That is, the vehicle was driven from Zhejiang province to Fujian province at an average speed of 84 kilometers per hour.

A separate test (which was not broadcast) saw the battery cover a range of 1145 km. William Li wrote in a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo that the battery is currently the world's most energy-dense battery and has excellent safety performance. Furthermore, all vehicles for sale can be upgraded to 150 kWh with the new battery swap system.

NuCharging is an unconventional idea for vehicles where the company uses a battery swap system instead of plugging the car into an outlet to charge.

It is a system that is installed in vehicles and can replace a dead battery with a fully charged battery in less than three minutes. Customers can purchase a vehicle without a battery and pay a monthly subscription fee to use the batteries in NewK's network.

News reported in November that the company has provided more than 32 million battery swaps to customers through its network of over 2,000 PowerSwap stations. According to New, the company is going to start mass production of this battery from April 2024.
