Delayed Eating Revealed Increased Risk Of Heart Disease: A long-term study conducted by European experts has shown that people who eat food late are more likely to develop heart disease.
According to research published in the medical journal Nature, European experts studied more than 100,000 people to evaluate the health effects of delayed eating.
Experts asked 130,000 42-year-old volunteers to track their eating times online and asked them to record their daily breakfast and dinner times.
More than half of the volunteers included in the study were women and they were also asked about their health before the study.
The experts examined the health of all the volunteers again seven years later, including asking them different questions, which revealed that late eating increased the risk of developing heart disease.
According to the results, people who eat after 9 pm are more likely to suffer from heart disease, while every hour of delay increases the risk.
Similarly, people who eat food late in the morning are more likely to develop heart disease, but these risks are greater than those who eat food late in the evening.
According to experts, people who eat too late after 9 pm have a 28 percent chance of developing heart disease, while those who eat dinner just one hour later have an 8 percent chance.
Research has also shown that going without food for a long time after eating early at night improves blood circulation. For this reason, people who eat early at night can be protected from stroke and other similar diseases.
