Apple Watch Sales Ban Temporarily Suspended in the USA: Copyright dispute, the ban imposed on the sale of Apple Watch in the United States is suspended.
The ban imposed on the sale of Apple Watch in the United States has been suspended by the court. Acting on a petition filed with the US Court of Appeals on Tuesday, the court ordered the sale to continue.
On December 24, a US government tribunal banned the sale of the latest version of the Apple Watch in the US due to a copyright dispute.
The Apple Watch ban was imposed as a result of a complaint filed by medical monitoring technology company Massimo.
The company has taken the stand that Apple has used Mismo's patents without permission by putting blood oxygen sensors in its new watches.
Apple had hoped that the administration of US President Joe Biden would veto the government tribunal's ban on the export of watches, but the government did not take any action against the ban.
Which meant that the company would not be able to sell the watch in America. However, retailers such as Amazon and Target will have pre-existing stock available for sale.
It should be noted that on Tuesday, Apple filed an emergency petition in the US Court of Appeals to lift the ban.
