Apple introduced a new security feature This year. Apple is introducing the best security feature to protect the iPhone from thieves.
To strengthen the security of iPhones, Apple has added a new feature Stolen Device Protection in iOS 17.3 beta (beta). Even if the knowledge is lost, the data will be protected.
With the feature, users will be able to access their sensitive details or change their Apple ID using biometric methods like Face ID (face scan) or Touch ID (fingerprint).
According to the company, this feature will ask for biometric data when a user changes their Apple ID password, switches to face or fingerprint scanning, or turns off Find My iPhone.
After providing the biometric data, the data will be asked again after waiting for one hour after which the changes will be allowed.
According to an Apple spokesperson, the number of stolen or stolen devices has increased significantly in the current era, so we are developing new features to protect our users and their data.
The spokesperson said that Stolen Device Protection will provide more protection to users and no thief will be able to steal data through passcode.
The company said that although this feature is available to beta users, all users will be able to use it after the new iOS update, but users will have to turn on this feature themselves, for this in the phone's settings. Go to Face ID & Passcode and turn on the Stolen Device Protection option.
